Hoboken Nautical

Hoboken used to be a port, a location for shipping. Not so much anymore. I do not like ferries. Found myself in Hoboken at the Train Station the other day, had a few minutes to kill before catching the train, so I took a stroll around the “waterway” pier. You could see bits and snatches of the nautical needed to support this minimal ferry operation. On the outskirts of the railroad station, vestiges of the river faring of old Hoboken, started likely by the original Dutch, after they killed off the Leni Lenape of course. Properly cropped, we can still see this old world, only this old world. It looks like a nautical world. One imagines the seagulls have not noticed the difference, or the change.
